The cuts continued for Ron Hextall as Wednesday came to a close. After sending Ivan Provorov, Travis Sanheim and Travis Konecny back to their junior teams, 20 more players were assigned to various locations.
12 players with NHL contracts were assigned to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms:

Seven more players with AHL-only contracts were also assigned to the Phantoms:

- G Martin Ouellette
- RW Pavel Padakin
- RW Michael Parks
- D Logan Pyett
- LW Jay Rosehill
Lastly, rounding out the group of 20, Radel Fazleev was returned to his junior team, the Calgary Hitmen of the WHL.
There are 35 players still remaining in camp, and while there are few surprises, still remaining on the roster is two of the Flyers "Fab Five" defensemen, Shayne Gostisbehere and Robert Hagg.
More cuts will come in the near future as the preseason winds down. The Flyers next game action comes on Friday at 6 p.m. when they host the New York Islanders.
