With the 2017-18 season now completely in the rear-view mirror, the focus shifts to the 2018-19 season. The offseason may be fully underway, but the upcoming schedules for next season are already coming soon.
The NHL will release the full regular-season schedule next Thursday. The Flyers announced their preseason schedule on Friday, with eight games set for the preseason.
The Flyers will open the preseason against the New York Islanders on Sunday, Sept. 16 on the road at 1 p.m. The schedule includes the team's home game against the Islanders from PPL Center in Allentown on Friday, Sept. 21, which was previously announced. The Flyers will face the Islanders four times in the preseason. They will also face the New York Rangers and Boston Bruins twice, rounding out the eight-game schedule.
The full preseason schedule is below:
- Sunday, Sept. 16 at New York Islanders, 1 PM
- Monday, Sept. 17 vs. New York Islanders, 7 PM
- Tuesday, Sept. 18 at New York Islanders, 7 PM
- Wednesday, Sept. 19 at New York Rangers, 7 PM
- Friday, Sept. 21 vs. New York Islanders, 7 PM (at PPL Center)
- Monday, Sept. 24 vs. Boston Bruins, 7 PM
- Thursday, Sept. 27 vs. New York Rangers, 7 PM
- Saturday, Sept. 29 at Boston Bruins, 5 PM
