When the Flyers 12-game points streak came to an end against Carolina on Thursday, the focus was on putting a bad game behind them quickly and getting back on track.
The Flyers have done the opposite.
One day after falling in a shootout, 7-6, to the Lightning, the Flyers were picked apart by the Florida Panthers in a 4-1 loss on Sunday afternoon.
Florida got an early power play and wasted no time opening the scoring. Aleksander Barkov got behind the defense and scored on a breakaway to make it 1-0 at 2:41.
As the first neared the later stages, another transition play bit the Flyers. A lead pass for Evgenii Dadonov was handled and Dadonov faked both Shayne Gostisbehere and Petr Mrazek with a drop pass before firing a shot and scoring to make it 2-0.
Florida outshot the Flyers, 10-9, in the first period.
The Flyers had the better of play in the second period, outshooting the Panthers, 14-9, but failing to solve Roberto Luongo. A late turnover sent Dadonov the other way on a breakaway again and he scored to make it 3-0 through two.
Early in the third, another sequence of errors led to another breakaway, this one for Jonathan Huberdeau, and he scored to make it 4-0 at 2:47 of the third.
The only goal for the Flyers came with 3:21 to play as Travis Konecny picked up a rebound for his 17th goal of the season.
Luongo faced a few difficult chances, but not many from the Flyers in a game that lacked energy. Luongo made 39 saves in the win.
Mrazek allowed four goals for the third straight game, making 22 saves on 26 shots in the loss.
The loss is the Flyers third straight.
The Flyers return to the ice on Wednesday night to take on the Pittsburgh Penguins from Wells Fargo Center. Game time is set for 8 p.m.
