Training camp begins for the Flyers on Friday, but the roster of 61 has already been cut down some after rookie camp.
The Flyers have returned forwards Morgan Frost, Isaac Ratcliffe, Matthew Strome and Maksim Sushko back to their junior teams, GM Ron Hextall announced. This brings the Flyers training camp roster down to 57 entering Friday's sessions to open camp.
Frost was the Flyers first-round pick at 27th overall, the pick acquired in a trade with St. Louis involving Brayden Schenn. He returns to the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds of the OHL.
Ratcliffe was selected with the Flyers second-round pick in the 2017 NHL Draft (35th overall). He returns to the Guelph Storm of the OHL.
Strome and Sushko went with back-to-back picks in the fourth round of the 2017 draft. Strome returns to Hamilton and Sushko returns to Owen Sound, both in the OHL.
