The Flyers continue locking up recent draft picks on entry-level deals, and added another on Thursday.
Forward Matthew Strome, drafted in the fourth round of the 2017 NHL Draft, signed an entry-level deal with the Flyers on Thursday, according to GM Ron Hextall.
Strome was selected with the 106th overall pick, one pick ahead of prospect Maksim Sushko, who signed his entry-level deal on Tuesday.
Strome leads the Hamilton Bulldogs in the OHL with 37 goals and has 68 points in 64 games this season, all career-marks for him. He is in his third season with Hamilton and has 87 goals and 168 points in his OHL career in 191 games. He also scored one goal and had seven assists in seven OHL playoff games last season.
Strome comes from a noted hockey family. Both of his brothers are currently in the NHL. Ryan currently plays for the Edmonton Oilers and Dylan plays for the Arizona Coyotes.
Strome joins Sushko and Carsen Twarynski as Flyers forward prospects signed to entry-level deals within the last few days.
