The Flyers made their signing of Dale Weise official and announced the signing of another free-agent forward.
The Flyers have signed Boyd Gordon to a one-year deal worth $950,000.
Gordon is a 12-year NHL veteran and a former first-round pick of the Washington Capitals.
Last season, Gordon, 32, was a member of the Arizona Coyotes, playing in 65 NHL games, scoring two goals and adding two assists.
Gordon spent the first seven years of his career with the Capitals. He followed that with two years in Phoenix before playing for the Edmonton Oilers for two years. In his career, Gordon has played in 693 career NHL games, scoring 55 goals and adding 105 assists for 160 points.
The Flyers similarly added 28-year-old forward Andy Miele to be a depth-type player for the team. Gordon will serve a similar role. The move compares to the Flyers addition of Colin McDonald last season.
