Flyers sign Michael Raffl to multi-year extension
The Flyers were mulling a trade deadline decision of sorts with forward Michael Raffl. Trade or re-sign.
After spending the weekend listening to potential offers, the Flyers have opted for the latter.
Raffl signed a multi-year extension with the Flyers on Sunday, according to GM Ron Hextall. The deal is three years and worth $7.05 million, an average annual value of $2.35 million.
The 27-year-old is in his third season, all with the Flyers. This season, Raffl has eight goals and nine assists for 17 points in 61 games.
This is the second contract extension for Raffl, who also signed a two-year deal on March 22, 2014. He scored 21 goals in his rookie season.
In his career, Raffl has 38 goals and 29 assist for 67 points.
Raffl and the Flyers take the ice again on Monday when they host the Calgary Flames.
