The Flyers will officially make their return to the ice for the start of training camp in just over one week.
Training camp for the 2016-17 season opens on Friday, Sept. 23 at Flyers Skate Zone in Voorhees, the team announced on Thursday.
64 players will be participating in training camp as they push to earn a spot on the Flyers roster entering the season.
Players will be split into two groups for the opening weekend of camp. On Friday and Saturday, one group will skate from 9:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and the other group will skate from 1:15 p.m. to 3 p.m. Both groups will skate on Sunday from 10:20-10:50 a.m. before participating in a scrimmage from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
All on-ice sessions during camp are free and open to the public.
Following the weekend's training camp, the team will open the preseason on Sept. 26 with split-squad games against the Devils and Islanders, both on the road.
