The Flyers made a late switch and traded up for the 24th overall pick, sending the 29th pick and the 61st pick to the Toronto Maple Leafs.

With the 24th pick, the Flyers selected center/right wing Travis Konecny.

Konecny scored 29 goals and added 29 assists for 68 points in 60 games with the Ottawa 67's in the OHL last season. The 5'10", 175-pound forward had 132 total points in the last two seasons of OHL play.

By sending the 61st pick to Toronto, the Flyers do not have a second-round pick, but that could obviously change as Ron Hextall keeps working on Day 2.

The Flyers will not pick again until the 70th overall pick in the third round on Saturday.
