The Flyers made the blockbuster move of the first round of the NHL Draft.
The Flyers traded Brayden Schenn to the St. Louis Blues for the 27th overall pick, forward Jori Lehtera and a conditional first-round pick in 2018.
With the 27th pick, the Flyers selected forward Morgan Frost from the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds.
Frost had 20 goals and 42 assists for 62 points in 67 games with the Greyhounds last season.
Lehtera, 29, had seven goals and 15 assists for 22 points with the Blues last season. He has played three seasons in the NHL.
Schenn leaves Philadelphia after six seasons in the NHL. Last season, Schenn had 25 goals and 30 assists for 55 points in 79 games. In his Flyers career, Schenn had 109 goals and 137 assists.
The Flyers are back on the clock on Day 2 on Saturday morning.
