Welcome to another edition of trivia Wednesday. Today we will be asking questions about coaches and captains of the past. Before we get started, let's look at last week's answer(s). Last Wednesday we asked Who am I. The answer was Brian Propp.
Bropp had a fantastic career in Philadelphia. In his 10 plus seasons in a Flyers uniform, Propp amassed 849 points in 790 games. His 369 goals are second most in franchise history behind Bill Barber.
As great a player as he was on the ice, he was just as nice off it. Propp opened a skating rink in Medford and could be seen helping people of all ages learn to skate and always was open to talking hockey. Twitter follower John Infanti shared with us a little tidbit.
"There's no one story that sticks out. It's just how good he was with us, how much he clearly still loved the game, and how much he enjoyed being around the rink. He would spend weekend nights there for public skating sessions. It didn't matter who you were, he was there and willing to talk hockey. He was just a great guy."
Thank you John for sharing your story. Propp certainly was one of the great ones in Flyer history.
On to today's category. Today's questions will be all about the coaches and captains of our beloved Flyers. This is the last week prior to selecting a random follower for next Wednesday's category so get your answers in.
