Eagles fans got quite the scare last night as Nick Foles was knocked down on a strip sack and immediately grabbed his throwing arm. He would get up and leave the game for good following the play.
Following the game, Foles seemed laid back in his press conference. He was optimistic that the injury was not serious. Luckily for the Eagles, Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network is reporting that this is the case.
#Eagles QB Nick Foles was optimistic and confident that his shoulder injury last night was a minor one… and it is. Source said after tests that’s he’s ok. Don’t expect any prolonged recovery.

It would not be surprising if Foles does not appear in next week’s matchup against the Cleveland Browns as a precautionary measure and Joe Callahan and Christian Hackenberg get an opportunity to prove why an NFL team should keep them on their roster or even on the practice squad. Foles should be ready to play Week 1 against the Falcons in the event that Carson Wentz is not cleared for contact.
