Former Eagles wide receiver Freddie Mitchell never seemed to get things together on the field. Off the field Mitchell has yet to get it together, either. According to NBC 10's John Clark, Mitchell has pleaded guilty to tax fraud:
Former Eagle Freddie Mitchell pleads guilty for his part in tax-fraud scheme. faces max prison sentence of 10 years and max fine $250,000. Prosecutors say Mitchell and two others concocted scheme that involved filing a false tax return on behalf of another professional athlete.
An Associated Press report says that the athlete in question was unaware that Mitchell was filing tax returns under his name.
Aside from 4th and 26 Eagles fans generally do not have great memories of Mitchell. The news prompted some funny responses from fans (and journalists) on Twitter:

He has yet to be sentenced, so I suppose he's still a current-con.
