Former Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. dances to Billy Joel’s ‘Uptown Girl’ in lip sync battle

Former Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. has not wasted any time getting acclimated with his new organization, the Boston Red Sox. On Oct. 26, Amaro joined the 115-year organization to become their first base coach, outfield instructor and assistant baserunning coach for the 2016 season.

One of the highlights from this past weekend's Red Sox' Baseball Winter Weekend held at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut, was a lip sync battle between coaches and players. Amaro was among the designated backup dancers for the coaches' team behind pitching coach Carl Willis, who covered one of Billy Joel's classic hits, "Uptown Girl."

The players, led by 11-year veteran Hanley Ramirez, went a little more modern by covering the Backstreet Boys' "I Want It That Way." You can see how they compared starting at the 30-second mark in the video below.

It appears Amaro hasn't started a fire yet within the Red Sox' organization, but it's a matter of trust that he will have to gain with his new club starting next month in spring training.
