Rumors are unconfirmed that the motivation was In-and-Out burger locations, but former Phillies World Champion Joe Blanton has agreed to terms with the California Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. The deal is for two years, with an average annual value less than Blanton earned with the Phillies during his most recent contract.
Blanton joined the Phillies via trade from the Oakland Athletics in 2008, and spent 2009, 2010, 2011, and part of 2012 with the Phillies before being traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers in August. Lifetime, Blanton is 83-75 with a 4.37 ERA.
