Former Phillies outfielder Brian Bogusevic has signed with the Orix Buffaloes of Japan's Nippon Professional Baseball, according to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports.
Bogusevic, 31, began last season with the Triple-A Lehigh Valley IronPigs, despite slugging .611 in 36 spring training at-bats.
The Oak Lawn, Illinois native was not recalled until Sept. 4. He made his debut in red pinstripes on Sept. 7 against the Atlanta Braves with a pinch-hit, fifth-inning home run against right-hander Williams Perez.
Bogusevic went on to hit .259/.295/.414 with three doubles, two home runs and five runs batted in over 61 at-bats as a Phillie.
