Former Phillies Phillippe Aumont, Kyle Drabek, and Aaron Rowand all get new jobs

Three former Phillies found new work on Monday.  One was a top-notch prospect who landed an ace.   Another was the the return the Phillies got for an ace.  And who does not love the center field ace who smashed his face for the Phillies.

Kyle Drabek, the former Phillies first round pick who helped the Phillies acquire pitcher Roy Halladay, will join the Arizona Diamondbacks organization:

Rivero was in the Phillies organization in 2011 at AA Reading and AAA Lehigh Valley.

Phillippe Aumont, the headlining prospect the Phillies acquired in exchange for pitcher Cliff Lee in the late-2009 trade to the Mariners, will be moving on to the Chicago White Sox organization:

Aumont as a fastball on the quicker side in the game, but has failed to control it.  The Phillies designated Aumont for assignment in June.  Aumont's legacy in the Phillies organization is that he is the all-time Lehigh Valley IronPigs leader in appearances and walks.

Finally, former Phillies outfielder and fan favorite Aaron Rowand has a new gig with another one of his former teams:

Rowand was acquired by the Phillies as part of the Jim Thome trade with the White Sox, the team who drafted Rowand.

Rowand had his best offensive season, his only All-Star season, with the Phillies in 2007.  Rowand then signed a five-year contract with the San Francisco Giants prior to the 2008 season.   Rowand helped the Giants win their 2010 championship, but was released after his 2011 season.  Rowand signed with the Miami Marlins prior to the 2012 season as a Minor League free agent, but failed to make the team.
