Former Phillies’ pitcher Randy Wolf reportedly retires

According to Jon Heyman of MLB Network, former Philadelphia Phillies' starting pitcher Randy Wolf has decided to retire.

Wolf, 39, appeared in eight games, seven of which were starts, for the Detroit Tigers in 2015. He posted a record of 0-5 with a 6.23 ERA, perhaps prompting him to call it a career.

Wolf was selected by the Phillies in the second round of the 1997 draft, and pitched for the team from 1999 to 2006. In 2003, he won 16 games and was the Phillies' representative at the All-Star game, though he finished the season with a 4.23 ERA.

While Wolf did once hit two home runs in a game, he'll probably be most remembered for his fan group "The Wolf Pack", who would attend each of his starts wearing wolf masks.
