Chester PA: There is a new buzz surrounding the Philadelphia Union for the 2025 season especially being led by a new head coach in Bradley Carnell as back on November 7, the Union decided to move on from Jim Curtin after 12 years with the league after having one of the rough seasons in a long time especially not doing well at Subaru Park

Offseason Moves & Signings:

Here are some of the notable moves the Union made for the 2025 season

Acquired midfielder Indiana Vassilev in Trade from St. Louis CITY SC
Agreed to a deal for Transfer of forward Bruno Damiani
Signed Philadelphia Union II defender Frankie Westfield to a contract as a Homegrown player
Acquired midfielder Jovan Lukic from FK Spartak Subotica

Traded midfielder Jack McGlynn to Houston for a guaranteed $2,100,000, as well as a significant future sell on and trade percentage

Acquired $50,000 in 2025 General Allocation Money from San Diego FC in exchange for the Homegrown Priority over Union Academy forward Anisse Saidi

Acquired center-back Ian Glavinovich from Newell’s Old Boys on a one-year loan with a club option to permanently transfer

Agreement to a new contract with defender Olivier Mbaizo

Re-signed Alejandro Bedoya for the 2025 season

 

Jovan Lukic on being in Philadelphia:

Before the Union played their first game of the 2025 regular season, the newest player Jovan Lukic would open up about getting acclimated to the City of Philadelphia & the fans

 

 

Quinn Sullivan’s message to the fans:

Before the Union kicked off the 2025 season, Quinn would have a message to the fans on what they expect for the upcoming season especially how last year went & what they will do to make things better at Subaru Park

 

Tai Baribo show kicks off the 2025 season:
The Union kicked off the 2025 season with an exciting 4-2 win over Orlando City, headlined by Tai Baribo’s two-goal performance. 

 

So who would get the 1st goal of the season for the Union & it would be from Tai Baribo to get the game tied at 1 in the 23rd minute

 

 

 

Tai Baribo would bang in his 2nd goal of the game to put things out of reach for Orlando to make a comeback

 

What is next:
After getting off to a good start to begin the 2025 regular season, The Union will now prepare home opener against FC Cincinnati at Subaru Park on March 1 (7:30 p.m./Apple TV MLS Season Pass).
