Future Flyers Report:

This weekend for the Flyers future saw both farm clubs split weekend series, while a prospect who's made recent headlines scored a hat trick and a highly-touted prospect engaged in a spirited (and dominant) fight. Check out how your future Flyers did after the jump.

Juniors:

Just a few days after inking a three-year entry-level deal, Tyrell Goulbourne recorded a hat trick in Kelowna's 5-2 win over Vancouver. Goulbourne also scored the very next night in the Rockets' 5-2 win over Spokane — as they recorded a 50-win season for the third-consecutive year.

Travis Sanheim scored his 12th of the season Saturday, but his Calgary Hitmen fell 3-2 to Edmonton. Radel Fazleev was held off the scoresheet for that game.

Samuel Morin recorded an assist on Sunday, as his Rimouski Océanic fell 3-2 to Chicoutimi. The highlight of Morin's weekend, though, was a fight against Drummondville's Adam Chapman in their 4-2 win over Drummondville. Morin slugged Chapman with his right hand a total of 10 times.

Nicolas Aubé-Kube recorded a goal and three points this weekend, as his Val-d'Or Foreurs beat Baie-Comeau in two games by a combined 10-2 margin — 5-0 on Friday and 5-2 on Saturday.

American League:

The Lehigh Valley Phantoms split both ends of a PPL Center back-to-back this weekend, beating Bridgeport 2-1 in overtime on Friday and losing to Portland on Saturday, 5-4. Brett Hextall scored against the Sound Tigers, while Jason Akeson scored his team-leading 18th of the season just 48 seconds into overtime. Rob Zepp made 26 saves on 27 shots.

Andrew Gordon scored twice in Saturday's loss, while Adam Comrie and Scott Laughton scored as well. Zepp started again in the cage, making 27 of 31 saves.

The Phantoms (26-24-6-1) begin a five-game road trip this week, commencing Wednesday in Toronto. Their 59 points are just one point better than fourth-place Binghamton, and they sit eight points behind Worcester for the Eastern Conference's final playoff spot.

No further developments have come from the Shayne Gostisbehere shutdown saga, but the confusion still lingers.

ECHL:

The Reading Royals scored a total of six goals in back-to-back action against Toledo, losing 5-3 on Saturday and winning 3-2 on Sunday. Saturday's loss saw the Royals blow a 3-1 lead, with Matt Hatch, Brandon Alderson and Cam Reid each scoring. Martin Oullette posted a 24-save effort on 28 shots.

Reid and Alderson scored in Sunday's win as well, while David Marshall lit the lamp as well. Connor Knapp made 25 saves on 27 shots.

The Royals will be off until the weekend, when they head to New York for a Friday matchup with the Elmira Jackals. With a 38-15-2-2 record and 80 points, coach Larry Courville's team is now tied with Florida for first place in the East Division, and sit in a three-way tie (with Florida and Fort Wayne) for first in the Eastern Conference.
