The Philadelphia 76ers host the Memphis Grizzlies tonight in a showdown of winning streaks. The Sixers have won four home games in a row and the Grizzlies have won five games overall in a row. Considering the Sixers only have four wins this season so far, they definitely feel the home court advantage. Overall, the Sixers have won two in a row, which hasn't been done in a couple of years.

The Sixers won against the Miami Heat last time out with an impressive end of game run. Joel Embiid held his own against monster Hassan Whiteside scoring 22 points and grabbing 5 rebounds. He also had 3 blocks. Jerryd Bayless finally suited up and scored 4 points, although he shot 14.3 percent from the floor. He was a projected starter for this team at Point Gaurd for some people so it remains to be seen when or if he'll start.

The Grizzlies dominated the Charlotte Hornets on Monday night to win their 5th straight game. Mike Conley, the highest paid player in league history, has been looking good with career high numbers. He finished the game with 31 points and 2 assists. Marc Gasol finished with 13 points, 8 rebounds, and 9 assists. He also blocked 3 shots.

So now, the Sixers and Grizzlies face off. Once again, Embiid will have his hands full with Gasol. Both of these players are forces on both ends of the ball the duel doesn't stop. It's all very exciting. The Sixers will need to find a way to contain Conley as well.

The Grizzlies still don't have Chandler Parsons, who they just signed in the offseason. He's injured. He's going to be one of the top players for this team. Every Sixers fan knows Ben Simmons is out and he, like Parsons, is to be one of the best players on the team. Both teams are waiting for their recent acquisitions to get healthy. For the Grizzlies, they are trying to stay in playoff position. For the Sixers, they are trying to get a sense of their core to eventually dismantle the league. Because they will. They will.
