The Flyers all acknowledged the magnitude of a 4-2 win against the St. Louis Blues on Thursday two days after nearly rebounding from 3-1 deficit to earn a point against the New York Islanders.

This was a demanding week for the Flyers on paper and so far, the Flyers have passed the test with two strong games. Their last comes on Friday night, as they face the NHL's current top team, the Dallas Stars.

The opening face-off from American Airlines Center is set for 8 p.m.

In the Flyers last few games, a lot of offensive production is happening with the second line on the ice. Matt Read only has two points in the last five games, both goals, but his hard work to set up goals shouldn't go unnoticed.

Jamie Benn is leading the league in goals with 19 and had four points in his last game on Tuesday. Not much more needs to be said. He's as dangerous as they get of late and the Flyers need to shut down the top line to have any chance to win on Friday.

Goalie Matchup

Michal Neuvirth is back in goal again after making 35 saves in the Flyers win on Thursday in St. Louis. Neuvirth has ranked among the league-leaders in GAA and save percentage this season.

The Flyers struggled to score on Antti Niemi in the first meeting between the two teams in October. Niemi has made the bulk of the starts for Dallas, but Dallas' defense is coming off a game where they allowed five goals.
