At this stage of the season, the Flyers really need wins, but in games like their Saturday afternoon affair with the Rangers, earning points on a regular basis is just as crucial. It may have been a shootout loss, but the Flyers are currently riding a five-game point streak.
They take that streak on the road as they face the Detroit Red Wings for the first time this season.
The opening face-off is set for 7:30 p.m.

After suffering a tough loss, making 30 saves in Los Angeles in a 2-1 defeat, Neuvirth won his last start, stopping 21 of 24 shots against the Canadiens on Jan. 5.
Petr Mrazek is the definition of a hot goalie right now. He has won five straight games, allowing seven goals in that time.
