Yeah, it's late on Thursday night. But I am off on Fridays and watching a rerun of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" and perusing Twitter. Tonight I found a new Twitter account I really enjoy:
Everybody vote for Delmon Young for the MLB all star game. #VoteForDelmon

Yes, Delmon Young is on the National League All-Star ballot:
Despite playing as many games for the Phillies as I have, he qualfied because he may possibly play for the team someday. The Twitter account makes some valid points for his election:
Only one Phillies player on the all star ballot has never made an error for the Phils. Let's get him to the all star game! #VoteForDelmon

If elected, Young would be the most deserving Phillie elected since Mariano Duncan edged out Roberto Mejia of the Colorado Rockies in 1995, thanks to one of Ryne Sandberg's retirements. Mejia almost got elected while playing in AAA thanks to the Colorado fans who seemed to vote for every single Rockies player that year (back when the city still appreciated baseball).
Another option on the ballot: Kirk Nieuwenhuis of the Mets. He is currently in AAA.
The choice is yours – vote!
