For the past couple of days, no new names were added to the list of interviews for the Eagles head coaching position. In fact, one name had been taken off the list, as the team is apparently no longer interested in Jaguars assistant head coach Doug Marrone, and Chicago offensive coordinator Adam Gase, who interviewed on Tuesday, is expected back for a second interview this weekend.
No interviews are scheduled for Wednesday, as Jeffrey Lurie tends to relocation meetings for the NFL's owners in New York. But on Thursday, the process will continue as New York Giants offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo will interview with the Eagles, according to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer.
McAdoo has spoken with the New York Giants regarding the coaching vacancy there now that Tom Coughlin has stepped down.
McAdoo, who is from Homer City, Pa. and went to Indiana University of Pennsylvania, has spent the last two seasons under Coughlin with the Giants. For seven seasons prior, he was a coach with the Green Bay Packers, coaching tight ends (2006-2011) and quarterbacks (2012-13).
The 38-year-old McAdoo would be the fourth candidate to be interviewed for the head coaching position by the Eagles brass.
