In an interview with Radio One Detroit Sports Editor, Lauren Beasley, linebacker Brandon Graham discussed the team's expectations heading into the 2015 season, and had some interesting comments regarding Tim Tebow.
"Tim Tebow is going to shock a lot of people because he’s going to make the team," Graham said. "I think he’ll play a lot."
Tebow will begin battling with Matt Barkley for the Eagles' third-string quarterback job when the team takes the field for training camp on Aug 2. The former Heisman Trophy winner was signed by the Eagles back in April after working out for the team a month prior. Chip Kelly liked what he saw, obviously, as he made the decision to bring the former Bronco and Patriot aboard.
Tebow has been said to have improved his throwing motion through his work with former MLB pitcher Tom House, who has also worked with Tom Brady and Drew Brees.
"[Tebow] went from being a little inaccurate and didn't throw a whole lot of spirals, to throwing very accurate and real good at spinning the ball," House said in an interview.
A video released by For The Win offered an exclusive look at the quarterback's new and improved throwing motion, and it does look a lot quicker and smoother.
Whether or not Tebow makes the final cut is up to the head coach/GM. His talent as a runner is appealing, and would give Kelly the ability use him in read option-type plays, and even in goal-line situations.
With training camp only a couple days away, Tebow will get the chance to further showcase his abilities in the hopes of making an NFL comeback.
