Eagles
Halftime Report: Eagles at Bills
By Matt Ryan, Sports Talk Philly Contributor
The Eagles face the Bills in week eight of the regular season. The Eagles lead the Bills 11 to 7 halftime in a game with 40+ MPH winds. The Eagles offense has been struggling so far but looked good on that final drive of the half. The defense has looked good so far only giving up seven points and forcing one turnover. Here’s what we saw in the first 30 minutes of action:
RB Miles Sanders. Sanders had three catches for 44 yards, including a big 25 yard run that put the Eagles in field goal range. Sanders has also added on nine rushing yards and scored a two point conversion.
DE Brandon Graham. Graham has had a great first half, having one strip sack which he recovered that set up an Eagles touchdown. Graham also added four tackles, including one which was for a loss.
QB Carson Wentz needs to step up in the second half. Wentz has missed a lot of throws so far, which have ended many promising drives. Wentz looked better on the last drive of the half, but still has to make some throws that he has been missing.
QB Josh Allen. Allen has had a decent first half, but with the wind picking up the Birds are going to need to look out for Allens run game. Allen has had a lot of big third-down runs and for the Eagles to contain this offense going forward, their going to need to stop Josh Allen from getting more of those.
