The Eagles face the Jets in week five of the regular season. The defense has looked great so far, only giving up 70 yards and allowing no points. The offense has been slow, scoring fourteen points. The Eagles go into the half up 21-0, here’s what we saw in the first 30 minutes of action:

First Half Offensive MVP

RB Jordan Howard

Jordan Howard has been the bright spot in the Eagles offense running for 23 yards and a touchdown. Howard had a big 15-yard run and then punched it in from the one yard line to put the Eagles up 7-0.

First Half Defensive MVP

LB Nathan Gerry

Gerry has played great in the first half, having one tackle and one interception, which he returned for a touchdown.

Who Needs To Step Up

The Eagles offense needs to step up in the second half. Despite being up 21-0 at the half, the Eagles offense has not looked great, scoring just 14 points. They have left some big plays out there but are getting the job done so far. If the Eagles want to run away with this game, the offense needs to play better.

Who To Watch Out For

Le’Veon Bell has been shut down in the first half. Bell has touched the ball nearly every offensive play for the Jets and will continue to be their work horse in the second half. For the Eagles to continue their dominance, they’re going to need to continue to contain Le’Veon Bell in the second half.
