A quick and easy win, just what the doctor ordered for the Phillies. Roy Halladay took the mound tonight looking for a win amidst a string of losses, hoping to out-duel Joe Saunders, which, being Roy Halladay, shouldn't be an issue.

With Doc cruising, Erik Kratz provided a 1-0 lead in the third inning with a solo shot drilled to left field. The only other run of the game would also come via Kratz, he walked in the fifth with the bases loaded which sent Ryan Howard home. 2-0 Phils.

Roy Halladay was absolutely spectacular through seven innings of three-hit ball. He walked one and struck out five tossing 94 pitches, 61 for strikes. His ERA stands at 4.01.

Josh Lindblom pitched a scoreless eighth inning walking one and striking out two. In the bottom of the inning, former Phillie Mike Zagurski allowed two singles and a wild pitch before Matt Albers came into the game. Domonic Brown proceeded to bring home an insurance run with an RBI single to left which scored Kevin Frandsen. That would be all in the inning.

Jonathan Papelbon came in to close it out in the top of the ninth. He did just that, sending the Phillies to a 3-0 win.

The Phils will now look to take the series against Arizona in a rubbermatch tomorrow at 1:35. Cliff Lee will square off against Trevor Cahill.
