Two former Phillies traded to the Texas Rangers in late July, Cole Hamels and Jake Diekman, are headed to the postseason.
Diekman, who had 225 strikeouts over 173 1/3 innings in red pinstripes, posted a photo on Instagram of the two with the following caption:

Hamels, the 2008 World Series Most Valuable Player, has every reason to celebrate. Sunday afternoon, he threw a complete game, three hitter to secure the Rangers' sixth division title in franchise history.
Spanning 26 appearances as a Ranger, Diekman allowed just five runs on 13 hits and seven walks. This will be his first career trip to the postseason, as he made his big-league debut with the Phillies in 2012.
Hamels and Diekman will oppose another former Phillie, outfielder Ben Revere, as they take on the Toronto Blue Jays in the American League Division Series starting October 8.
