The Phillies headed to Ft. Myers, Florida tonight to take
on Shane Victorino and the Boston Red Sox at Jet Blue Park, or Fenway South as
it is better known.

Cole Hamels took the hill for his team tonight and was looking extra sharp
to continue a successful spring. In the top of the first, the Phillies gave Cole a
1-0 lead to work with after Pete Orr scored on a groundout from Michael Young.

The Sox tied it up in the home half of
the first after Daniel Nava popped up a sacrifice fly to score Will
Middlebrooks.

That run would be the only one Cole would allow tonight. In six innings,
Hamels allowed one run on six hits, walking two and striking out five.

Michael Stutes came in for an inning of relief in the seventh inning, but
not much was working for him tonight (if anything at all). After getting the
first two outs, Stutes walked two straight batters. Jose Iglesias reached on a
fielder's choice to score Matty Johnson, putting Boston up, 2-1. Stutes walked
Daniel Nava, and with the bases loaded, they were soon emptied after Shane
Victorino slapped a triple into right field. 5-1 Boston.

Mike Nasseth relieved Stutes for the final out of the inning, but allowed
a double to Dustin Pedroia which sent Victorino home. Jeremy Horst also saw an
inning of action tonight and allowed one hit.

The Phillies could not come back against the Sox, dropping this game, 6-1.

Atlanta will pay visit to the Phils tomorrow afternoon in Clearwater. Game
starts at 1:05.
