Paul Holmgren addressed the media prior to tonight's game between the Flyers and Red Wings on the two injuries suffered in Friday's loss to Phoenix.
Forwards Scott Hartnell and Vincent Lecavalier had MRIs on Saturday after leaving the 2-1 loss early.
Hartnell will be out for two-to-four weeks with an unspecified upper-body injury suffered in the first period. Holmgren would only describe the injury as a sharp pain.
Lecavalier suffered a lower-body injury along the boards in the second period. He is out for at least one week.
In that week, the Flyers will face the Red Wings tonight as well as the Vancouver Canucks and Pittsburgh Penguins.
Holmgren also said he is not actively exploring a trade, allowing call-ups Michael Raffl and Tye McGinn to earn playing time.
