With their second win under their belts, the Flyers get the
second of two injured forwards back.
Though it had no bearing in the Flyers 2-1 win over the New York Rangers on Thursday, Vincent Lecavalier made his return to
the Flyers lineup.
Now, Scott Hartnell,
injured the same night as Lecavalier, makes his return to the lineup after Tye McGinn was send down to the
Phantoms on Friday.
The Flyers make their way to Long Island for a meeting with
the New York Islanders.
Fresh off a win, the Flyers will send Steve Mason in goal once again while the Islanders tab Kevin Poulin.
The Islanders are a good goal-scoring team compared to the
Flyers, who have yet to reach three goals in a game. Forwards Matt Moulson and Frans Nielsen have six goals apiece, the same number as the Flyers
entire forward group.
The Flyers also can’t forget about talented goal scorers in Michael Grabner, John Tavares and Kyle Okposo.
On Thursday, Matt
Read helped the Flyers win with a goal and an assist while snapping his
pointless drought. Hartnell also has yet to record a point on the season, and
should be hungry for his first point.
Also look out for Mark
Streit, a former Islander captain, against his former team.
