After Chip Kelly decided to return to Oregon, it seemed as though the Eagles head coach position was wide open. Names ranging from Jon Gruden to Gus Bradley were being thrown around. Even former Chicago Bears head coach Lovie Smith emerged as a serious contender. However, the Eagles have seemingly gone under the radar with their latest candidate. It seems the two parties have already met, and it is just down to a second meeting. Obviously, nothing is certain in the NFL. However, this is the most traction we've seen on a single head coaching candidate. Upon Brian Kelly's return from out of the country, whenever that may be, expect some more updates from the insiders. Until then, you can focus back on whether or not Jon Gruden was actually in the area today.
