After a night of very strong pitching from Vince Velasquez and the bullpen along with some timely hits including Tommy Joseph's first major league home run, the Phillies have another series win on their mind as they take to the field this afternoon.
Jeremy Hellickson is coming off his strongest start of the season where he held the Reds to two unearned runs through seven innings, striking out nine. As for the lineup Odubel Herrera gets the night off after a slightly tough spell as of late. David Lough leads off playing right field and Peter Bourjos moves to to center for the day. Also Cameron Rupp returns to action this afternoon behind the plate.
Things have not been quite as promising for Marlins starter Tom Koehler who has had a pretty tough season thus far with only two quality starts on the year. Unfortunately for the Phillies one of those quality starts was against them back on May 7 where he pitched seven innings of one run ball and struck out eight.
