Friday funnies brought to you straight from hockey’s own players, media personnel, and broadcast botches. We’ll be mucking it up every week right here, examining puck ups, puns, tweets, and more!
Everyone enjoyed the Philadelphia Flyers' 5-2 victory over the San Jose Sharks in San Jose last week. Well, everyone who isn't a San Jose Shark, a San Jose Shark fan, and the person who tweets for NHL.com.
Later in the morning after the game, NHL.com's official Twitter sent this out:
Well, that escalated quickly! 3 goals in 2:45 & all of a sudden it was a 4-2 @NHLFlyers lead: http://t.co/kiYETvNrAu pic.twitter.com/LxzTZaeNr9

Which would be all well and good, except if you follow the YouTube link, it takes you to Chicago Blackhawk forward Patrick Kane scoring a goal on Jonathan Quick. It wasn't the same play as when Kane scored the game winner in the Stanley Cup Finals in 2010, but any time Kane scores a five-hole goal, it makes me kinda sad because it reminds me of that fateful night.
Such is life.
