Doc didn't have his best stuff tonight, but the stuff he had was still dominant. The Reds jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first. Jay Bruce doubled to bring home Zack Cozart, the first run, then Brandon Phillips scored on a groundout from former Phillie Scott Rolen.

The Phils got on the board in the home half of the first courtesy of Ryan Howard's RBI single which sent Juan Pierre home. 2-1 Reds.

In the third, Ryan Howard sent a solo homer to the seats in right field, tying up the ballgame. The following inning brought about 410-foot home run from Erik Kratz, his seventh of his short season. 3-2 Phillies.

Roy Halladay had a rough fifth inning. David Mesoraco came around to score on a double from Chris Heisey, tying the game. A single from Jay Bruce would bring home Heisey, then Phillips scored on a groundout. 5-3 Reds.

Have no fear, the Phillies' offense is here. Juan Pierre scored on a double from Chase Utley in the bottom of the fifth, followed by an RBI double from John Mayberry, Jr. Ryan Howard and Mayberry came around to score on a double from Domonic Brown, making it a 7-5 game.

In the bottom of the sixth, the hot-hitting continued. Rollins scored on a sac fly from Chase Utley, then Mayberry sent a two-run homer to the seats in left, bringing the Phillies to a 10-5 lead.

Juan Pierre reached on an infield single in the seventh, bringing home Placido Polanco. 11-5 Phils.

After seven innings and 97 pitches, Roy Halladay's night was complete. He allowed five earned runs on ten hits, walking one and striking out three. B.J. Rosenberg came in for the eighth and recorded one out before Antonio Bastardo came in.

Bastardo entered this game after a 12-day hiatus. There's no injury behind it, he simply hasn't been seeing any time on the mound amidst a terrible season for the left-hander. He allowed one hit before striking out two to end the inning, both looking.

The Phils had the bases loaded with one out in the eighth. Erik Kratz sent a pop-up to center, bringing home Mayberry, but, that would be all. 12-5 Phils.

Wilson Valdez received a nice round of applause in the ninth during his first at-bat of the night. Josh Lindblom entered the game, looking to close it out. He did just that in a near-perfect inning (he walked one). Phillies win, 12-5

Homer Bailey and Cliff Lee will square off tomorrow night at 7:05.
