Humberto Quintero Is Taking His Talents To South Beach, Will Join Phillies
Phillies catcher Carlos Ruiz came up lame rounding second base to third base during yesterday afternoon's game as the Phillies hosted the Cincinnati Reds and was replaced in the game by Erik Kratz. Today it appears that Phillies catcher Carlos Ruiz could be headed to the disabled list. Thanks to the The Delaware News Journal's Chris Branch, we know for sure that Humberto Quintero is headed to Miami:

Kratz started on Friday and was pressed into duty on Saturday, so Quintero very well could get the start for the Phillies tonight in Miami. Cole Hamels is scheduled to face Alex Sanabia. It appears that Ruiz's hamstring is the issue; there is no news yet on his injury.
Note: A few of you have asked about Phillies prospect Tommy Joseph. Three reasons why it won't be Joseph:
- The Phillies prefer to give him a full year at AAA
- Joseph is only hitting .209
- He has a concussion.
