In a shocker, running back Frank Gore has reconsidered his agreement with the Eagles, reports Ian Rapoport of NFL.com. An earlier report from Eliot Shorr-Parks of NJ.com said that the Eagles were "expected" to sign Gore. Both Adam Schefter of ESPN.com and Adam Caplan of ESPN.com confirmed the report.
Rapoport followed up his initial report with a tweet that the Colts may have entered the sweepstakes. While teams are free to have ongoing discussions right now, the signing period begins tomorrow at 4:00 p.m. So, negotiations can continue. Perhaps the Colts saw the Eagles reports and upped the ante.
The Eagles have been active early this negotiating period, but nothing is final.
