The Eagles upped their record to 4-4 last week, making them a team with losses to teams like the 3-3-1 Lions and the 1-7 Atlanta Falcons but with wins against the 7-1 Packers and the 5-2 Bills.

The team chose not to mortgage their future by adding some veteran on an expiring deal at the deadline and will instead rely on the personnel they have in the building or sign mid-season.

The Bears’ injury report may be small, but with Akeem Hicks and Kyle Long on IR, the Bears are missing the top run stuffer and their best offensive lineman.

Meanwhile, the Eagles roster has been getting healthier and they have a bye week following this match-up, so the team should be getting guys back either this week or against the Patriots.

Coming off the report this week are Avonte Maddox, who is expected to start as the nickel corner over Sidney Jones, and Darren Sproles, who may or may not retake the punt return duties from Boston Scott.

Injury Report

Eagles

Out

OL Jason Peters

Peters left early on in the Vikings game with another injury. Andre Dillard will make his third straight start at left tackle with Peters still on the sidelines.

LB Nigel Bradham

Bradham is in line to miss his third straight game, but the good news is that, in his absence, undrafted rookie TJ Edwards has been seeing the field and looks like he could become one of the best linebackers the Eagles have had in years.

Questionable

DT Tim Jernigan

Jernigan could miss his seventh game with his “four-to-six week” injury. The Eagles will be relying on Huggins and the newly acquired Genard Avery (to allow ends to rotate inside) heavily in this match-up with the Bears, even if Jernigan plays as his snaps would figure to be limited.

WR DeSean Jackson

Jackson could miss, for all intents and purposes, his eighth straight game. If you count the handful of snaps he played in week two, he’s only missed six. 2019 is a personal record for Jackson as he had never missed more than six games in a single season before this year. If he plays this game and all the rest, he’ll tie that previous mark, but if he missed this or any game, it will be a career low games played. The offense needs him healthy to stretch the field.

S Andrew Sendejo

On the week the man he put out for the last four games returns, Sendejo finds himself on the injury report. He has been a pretty good tackler and blitzer, but his coverage skill are about as bad as they can get. The Eagles opted to go with four linebackers a couple times last week and with Nate Gerry having been a safety coming out of college, they may be able to play him out there and see what Duke Riley can do while also allowing TJ Edwards to continue to shine.

Bears

Out

LB Isaiah Irving

Irving is the Bear’s backup to Khalil Mack, so he wouldn’t get a whole lot of playing time even if he is healthy. He has just six tackles on the season.
