The Eagles are in bad shape, both from a health perspective and a record perspective.

The team certainly did not expect to start the season 1-2, two games behind the division-rival Dallas Cowboys (though the Cowboys have yet to play any good competition).

On a short week, the team desperately needs to turn things around and, judging by the injury report, they might be able to do just that.

Jordan Mailata was placed on Ir to remove him from the list, but just four players appear on this week’s report with four others coming off the list: Alshon Jeffery, Dallas Goedert, Kamu Grugier-Hill and Nate Sudfeld

Injury Report

Eagles

Out

DT Tim Jernigan

A foot injury is sidelining Jernigan for 4-6 weeks. This will be his second week out and it continues to be a huge loss for a defensive front that is not getting home. It leaves the tackle position with a Fletcher Cox that is clearly not himself and a duo of Hassan Ridgeway and Akeem Spence, neither of whom are considered great pass rushers. Vinny Curry did rotate inside quite a bit against the Lions.

WR DeSean Jackson

Jackson was missing for most of the game in Atlanta and reports are that he opted not to have surgery in the hopes of returning sooner. The team will miss his deep threat. He is expected to miss at least two weeks, and this will be his second week out. The goal is to get him back for week five.

CB Ronald Darby

After getting beat routinely in the Lions game, Darby never returned for the second half. His absence is expected to last multiple weeks, so it is no surprise he is out for Green Bay. The Eagles will rely heavily on the trio of Sidney Jones, Rasul Douglas and Avonte Maddox this week. Malcolm Jenkins will likely slot in as the fourth corner should any injury occur an no further move is made.

Questionable

RB Corey Clement

Clement sat out last week’s game and will likely return week five if he does not do so this week. He hasn’t seen much play on offense this season and is primarily serving as teh team’s kick returner.

Packers

Out

DE Montravius Adams

Adams is a staring defensive end for the Packers so his absence could be big. The major concern for the offensive line are the Packer’s linebackers, however, so this is not as big of a deal as it may initially seem. Still, it should help Jason Kelce and Isaac Seumalo, who have been struggling of late, have a slightly easier day.

ILB Oren Burks

Burks is a starter on the inside and while he isn’t a top player on the Packers defense, his injury, compounded with so many others that have lingering issues in the front seven, play a huge factor in both the short passing game and the run game. Burks, like Kamu Grugier-Hill, has not played yet this season, so the defense will be fine in his absence.

Questionable

OLB Kyler Fackrell

The primary backup to the Smiths, Fackrell would be an important part of the defense with so many of the Packers players in the front seven dealing with injuries. His absence would be a major blow if it was paired with Smith (below) missing time. If he cannot go, the team will be extremely thin at linebacker.

OLB Za’Darius Smith

It would be huge if Smith was out for this game as he is one of the Packers three best players on defense. Combine his injury with the injuries afflicting so many guys on the front seven, two of which were just pulled off the injury report today, and the Eagles might be wise to try and wear the defenders down with up-tempo plays and/or tough running from guys like Jordan Howard.

WR Jake Kumerow

Kumerow is the Packers third receiver, but DeVante Adams is the one the Eagles secondary will really need to worry about.

UPDATE: The Eagles are expected to have kick returner Corey Clement play and the Packers are expected to have Za’Darius Smith available, per Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.
