The Eagles will add two new members to their Hall of Fame during the 2016 season.
Broadcaster Merrill Reese and former linebacker Jeremiah Trotter will be inducted into the Eagles Hall of Fame on Monday, Nov. 28 at halftime of the Eagles game against the Packers.
Reese, 73, is entering his 40th year as the voice of the Eagles. Born in Philadelphia, Reese attended Temple University where he earned a degree in communications and broadcasting. A few years after graduating from Temple, Reese landed with WIP and became the Eagles play-by-play broadcaster in 1977, a position he has held ever since.
Trotter played eight seasons with the Eagles, playing in 116 games. He had 564 tackles, 11 sacks, seven interceptions, seven forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in his Eagles career.
Trotter was also named to the Pro Bowl four times and was a First Team All Pro in 2000.
There are 41 members of the Eagles Hall of Fame, which inducted its first class in 1987. Brian Westbrook and Maxie Baughan were inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2015. Other recent inductees include Donovan McNabb in 2013, Brian Dawkins and Troy Vincent in 2012, Jim Johnson in 2011 and Randall Cunningham in 2009.
