Jeremy Maclin Re-Signing With Eagles Now “Less Certain”

Just under a year ago, Jeremy Maclin took a risk, signing a one-year deal worth six-million dollars with the Eagles. The wide receiver turned down a five-year offer from the Eagles before signing the one-year pact because the sides couldn't agree on terms. Maclin did the right thing, putting up career-high numbers this season. He caught 85 passes for 1,318 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Back in November, Jeremy Maclin changed agencies. According to ESPN's Adam Caplan, that move makes a re-signing between him and the Eagles less of a possibility.

In a January report from NJ.com, the holdup between Maclin's camp and the Eagles seemed to be financially related. Though no deal seems imminent just yet, let's not forget that Maclin expressed his desire to remain with the team that drafted him back in December.

Maclin made it very clear last month that if it were up to him, he would be back with the Eagles.

"This is a great place to be,'' Maclin said. "I've always spoken well about the organization. (Jeffrey) Lurie, Howie (Roseman), Chip (Kelly), everything they've ever told me has been true. This is the place that drafted me. I want to end my career here.''

The Eagles and Maclin have until March 10th to strike a deal before the 26-year-old wideout is allowed to negotiate with other teams.
