Former Phillies shortstop Jimmy Rollins always projected a personality for television.  Never shy from the camera, Rollins has participated in many Phillies commercials, television specials, and even recorded a rap song for an MLB compact disc entitled, "O Say Can You Sing?" When Rollins appeared as a postseason analyst for MLB Network in the 2012 playoffs when the Phillies were eliminated for the first time since 2006, many Phillies fans speculated that he might take on that role when his playing career ends.   Now, with his baseball future in doubt, Rollins is getting some camera time.

Rollins has been making appearances on Fox Sports 1's "MLB Whip Around", serving a "guest analyst":

Rollins seems to have a shtick for the show: dancing:

The Rollins appearance had fans asking if Rollins might be considered for a long-term position on the show.

Rollins has not announced his plans for Major League Baseball, yet, nor has he announced his retirement.   After batting just .221 through June 10, the White Sox designated Rollins for assignment, leading to his subsequent release.  Now six weeks later, it would not be surprising if Rollins has played his last game in Major League baseball.

Fox Sports 1 is located in Los Angeles, California, where Rollins has a home.
