The Philadelphia 76ers' big man Joel Embiid has provided another hint on the photo-sharing, social media platform of Instagram that would lead to believe his return to the court and bid of full health from his navicular bone injury is soon to come.
The caption on the selfie posted to his account reads:
"My time is COMING…. Too blessed to be stressed. And yea that's a smile (Finally) #THEYSLEEP #JustBePatient #TrustMeOrTrustTheProcess #GOD"
Nearly one week ago, the third overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft posted a picture of him at a team practice that captioned the following, similar message:
"Incredible how your body can change in such a short amount of time #THEYSLEEP #HardWork"
While Embiid may believe he is near a return to the hardwood, it wouldn't be the first time where he felt fully healthy but was actually far from it.
Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports wrote the following in a June 2015 article:
"After weeks of rigorous workouts, Embiid had not felt pain in the foot, but a recent CT scan revealed an issue in the healing process, sources said. Philadelphia is consulting with doctors on how to best proceed, and it's still premature to speculate on the possibility of another surgical procedure that could sideline Embiid, sources said.
Embiid had been expected to participate with Sixers' summer league teams in July, but that could jeopardized now, sources said. For now, it is too soon to tell how long Embiid will be kept out."
Regardless of where Embiid may be in his recovery, it is good to see the Cameroon-native remains positive and in good spirits.
