The Phillies had not yet announced a roster move for when the team tabbed starter Ethan Martin to start tonight against the Atlanta Braves. The move will be a disabled list stint for starter Jonathan Pettibone, previously scheduled to start tomorrow. The move, reported here by Michael LoRe of The Express-Times, would be retroactive to Pettibone's last start.
The Phillies had scratched Pettibone for Saturday's start as of last night. Martin will start tonight; tomorrow's starter is listed as TBA and John Lannan is scheduled to start Sunday. Cliff Lee reportedly can start on Sunday, but that would not take care of Saturday. Lannan last started on Tuesday, so he probably would not start on short rest. Maybe we will get another Raul Valdes start.
