The deal is a four-year, $36 million deal with $20 million of that money guaranteed.
The deal cannot be official until Monday at 4 p.m. when free agency starts.
His $9 million average annual value should net the Eagles a fourth-round compensatory pick in the 2020 draft. For reference, the Eagles were awarded a 2019 fourth-round pick (138th overall) for Trey Burton’s $7.925 million deal.
In four seasons with the Eagles, Hicks registered 263 tackles, five sacks, 14 quarterback hits, seven interceptions, a forced fumble and six fumble recoveries.
