Sorry I've been slacking lately with bringing you the top slideshows the sports world has to offer on the internet.  So far it's been very clear this spring training that the Phillies should trade Cliff Lee for prospects while they can, and John Mayberry should start in right field and hit fifth.   Here are some great slideshows and some of the top points their authors write.

Will Cliff Lee's Small Injuries Lead to Big Problems?

Kid
This kid is obviously negatively affected by Cliff Lee's injury problems

The best part about this slideshow is that while most normal articles have one major purpose with several supporting points, each slide in the show appears to be thought completely independent from the other.  Some highlights include the slide "Cliff Lee and Carl Pavano" where he makes the career comparision: "Why am I talking about Carl Pavano in a slideshow about Cliff Lee?  It’s because Lee's health is starting to look like Pavano’s."  This slideshow also includes, "Cliff Lee and Cooperstown",  and "How Will Cliff Lee's Injuries Hurt the Phillies Dynasty?"   This is a must-read for any slideshow lover who likes a lot going on at once.

Breaking Down the 6 Most Intense Position Battles

Well, this used to be named "Breaking Down the 5 Most Intense Position Battles", which you can tell because that's what's in the URL.  The editors must have helped the author count and updated it.    There is no ranking involved, but one of the later-posted positional battles surely is intense:
Kirk

New York Mets Key Battle:  Scott Hairston, Kirk Nieuwenhuis

But – the author has a prediction to the winner of this intense battle:

Predicted Outfield:  Bay, Pagan, Beltran and Hairston as the backup

Oh, ok.

MLB: Will the Revitalized Philadelphia Phillies Repeat as NL East Champions?

Turns out, this slideshow is a ranking of how the author feels the NL East will end up, but there is great caution about the Mets:

Wright

Do not be surprised if the Mets do better than third place this year. No one has seen this team completely healthy yet, and they could be real playoff contenders if everything goes according to plan.

I thought the plan was to get these overpaid bums off of the payroll by letting them play out their last year?  Hmm…

Philadelphia Phillies: Why Joe Blanton Won't Be Their Worst Starter in 2011

Wow, this is not a slideshow but damn…  Blanton won't be the worst because….

Someone might get injured.  Or maybe he will be traded.

"If Blanton is not with the Phillies, he can’t be their worst starter.

Regardless, if there is an injury to a member of the Phillies’ staff or if there is a trade this summer, it will be an interesting season for Joe Blanton."
