Just How Heavy is Phillies’ Ryan Howard? #50 Jersey Gives Us a Clue

Ryan Howard is listed as 6'4 and 240 pounds.  That was, before he got injured and could do no exercise whatsoever.

In Lakewood, Howard had to wear #52 until they could put together a #29 jersey that big:

Tonight in Lehigh Valley, Howard was slugging away wearing #50.  

But, #50 is assigned to a current Iron Pig.  That would be the um, burly Matt Wright:

Matt Wright's stats? 6'4, 270 pounds.  At least that is the listed weight they admit to, anyway.

Wearing the #50 of a 270-pound pitcher, Howard went 2-3 with a home run so I do not really care how big he is.  They will have to find him an XXL jersey if he is going to play on a Matt Wright start.
