With a team that has Carmelo Anthony and rising star Kristaps Porzingis, the Knicks should be in the mix for a playoff spot, but they are not. At 23-31, New York is having another disappointing year after going 17-65 last season. According to ESPN's Marc Stein, the Knicks have decided to fire their coach, Derek Fisher.

In his 136 game coaching career with the Knicks, Fisher, 41, posted a record of 40-96 (.294). Larry Brown is the only Knicks coach with a worse record at 23-59 (.280) after just one season.

Kurt Rambis will be the interim head coach, but there are apparently front-runners for the long-term position already.
